Healthy Homes, Healthier Lives film and support material

This package was commissioned by the Department of Health’s Care Services Improvement Partnership’s Housing Learning and Improvement Network and is available as either a DVD or CD Rom.

It includes a short film that focuses on what older people themselves have to say about how their home impacts on their health. The supporting materials include; Discussion Sheets to expand upon the issues, focus on key questions and encourage debate, Facts and Figures, Policy Summary, Self Training Toolkit, and Website Links to aid further study, and Checklists and Planning Tools to help with the development of joint working strategies.

The materials would be useful in a range of settings, including group service commissioning meetings, cross sector training and group sessions, and for the Continued Professional Development of individual workers. The package is also aimed at lecturers who are training the next generation of health sector staff.
